The intensity and complexity of the winds on the lake have increased, making navigation to the glacier area on many occasions not possible, forcing us to cancel or modify the navigation date according to these circumstances.
Confirmation is usually given at least three days before departure day, due to changing conditions in the area. We hope for your understanding on this topic that surpasses us all.
ADVENTURE AND NAVIGATION TO THE SOUTHERN ICE FIELD
Enjoy, with a good glass of whiskey in your hand, a majestic landscape in front of the O’Higgins Glacier, located at the foot of the “Southern Ice Field.”
You can see snowdrifts, floating icebergs, icebergs and spectacular landslides from its great wall 70 meters high and three kilometers wide.
We have the option of open tours (with a minimum of 12 passengers) or exclusive charter trips.
The tour has an average navigation time of approximately 7 hours. round trip, leaving at 08:30 in the morning from Puerto Bahamondes, upon arriving at Campos de Ice Sur there is a walk around large floating icebergs until reaching the O’Higgins Glacier itself.
